Irene is one of the most innovative and exciting embroiderers working today. She lives in South Africa where she teaches and designs embroidery. Her work reflects her passion for colour, texture and design and she has won Special and First prizes in embroidery competitions. Irene travels extensively giving workshops. She is the creator of the range of Betsy Bee Embroidery designs which are distributed throughout Australia, the USA, Canada and the UK. (Her work has been featured in South African and Australian magazines as well as in the UK and USA.)
